A trip to the South/Sourh West area of our base for today. We started with a drive along the southern edge of the Val d’Orcia where as we left this area it was noted that the land became greener and more covered in forests.

Our first place of interest tbat was reached was rhe village of Sorano which is locared on the top of an escarpment.

It was then on to the village of Sovano which had its origins in Roman times and then continuing our drive we passed the larger town of Pitigliano which is also located on top of a rocky escarpment.

It was then on to the final destination of the day, Terme di Saturnia where a natural spring which features Copper Sulphate in the water has formed natural pools where people bathe.
